Instead of transferring every bump and jolt directly between the tow vehicle and trailer, the AirSafe system cushions the connection with an airbag. This absorbs vertical shock and fore/aft jerking, creating a smoother, more controlled tow.
Does it change my towing height?
AirSafe Receiver Hitches are adjustable to ensure your trailer remains level. Some models may add slight height differences, but these can usually be corrected with standard hitch adjustments.
What maintenance is required?
Minimal. Keep the airbag inflated to the recommended PSI (using a standard air pump or onboard compressor). Periodically inspect the hitch components, pins, and receiver for normal wear.
Start by checking your vehicle’s receiver class and maximum towing capacity. Match that with the correct AirSafe Receiver Hitch model (Class 3–8). You’ll also want to consider the type of trailer you tow most often and your average load weight to ensure optimal performance.

Most of the hitches weigh between 80 and 110 pounds. Some of our customers benefit from using a transmission jack to transport and store the hitch when not in use.
